History

Bluegrass Biofuels is located in Falmouth, KY, approximately 1.5 miles south of downtown Falmouth. The original facility was completed in 2009 by a company named Bluegrass Biodiesel on the back of funding from the Economic Development Administration.

Bluegrass Biodiesel mothballed the facility in 2013 and the Pendleton County Industrial Authority took over the asset ownership. 

Bluegrass Biofuels, LLC acquired the assets in May of 2018 and has been revamping and improving the facility in terms of capabilities and process efficiencies.
